I do apologise for the lack of updates. I have been working non stop for almost a month while people in work have been on holiday. Here’s a quick update on what i had for breakfast this morning.
This is my day off treat to myself and it was absolutely amazing! I feel so guilty! :)
1/4 cup oatmeal (I used rolled oats)
1 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp flaxseed (optional)
2 tbs smooth peanut butter (I used organic)
1 frozen ripe banana
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
I placed the milk and oats in the blender first, then added all other ingredients and let it blend for a minute or so. It made enough for two small glasses. I had one glass straight away and the other is chilling in the fridge for lunch :D
Serves 1 or 2 if poured into smaller glasses.

So, the last time I left you with my update on no poo I said I’d gone back to shampoo bars full time. I was very happy with this for a while, but results really did vary at times leaving me so frustrated! I couldn’t handle it so I decided to go BS/ACV full time.
I’ve now been fully BS/ACV for almost two months and I am very happy with it. My hair has fully adjusted and really seems to like it . I am slightly worried though as I’m going on holiday next month and don’t want to chance taking baking soda through security at the airport, so I may well need to take my shampoo bar with me *sadface*
I am off to Berlin which I have read has very hard water?. I have been 3 times previous, but obviously before I had always used nasty shampoo, so it was never a problem back then. If anyone has any suggestions that would help me out please leave a comment :)
I also apologise that I keep forgetting to take pictures to post, but I swear I will try get loads on holiday that I can post up and you can see I do exist!
To sum up my no poo experience thus far…I will honestly never turn back to detergent loaded shampoo! My hair is growing faster, looking healthier, less split ends and actually has more curl than I’ve seen in years!.
Keep it up guys don’t ever go back!

Natural Heavenly Beauty’s mission is to help people live healthier, happier lives through pure, natural, organic bath and body products that are free of harmful parabens, petrochemicals, artificial colours and synthetic fragrances. To pamper without drying out the skin, NHB uses only natural preservatives; such as, 100% pure Vitamin E, tea tree oil and extra virgin Coconut oil. To create the best healing body treatments, their products tap nature’s abundant reserves of powerful essential oils, natural butters from Shea to Cocoa and more.
This scrub contains Castile soap, Vitamin E, Organic extra-virgin coconut oil, Jojoba oil, Grapeseed oil, Avocado oil, Sweet Almond oil, Safflower and Lemon Oils.
It comes in 9 different aromas. I chose “Heavenly Bliss” which smells like apple pie with a hint of cinnamon – totally lush!
I have to say the size of the scrub for me was pretty poor and if you are paying for this it is $25 for a tiny 4oz tub. I actually won mine to try so i have to say I’m glad that i didn’t pay for it and it is one big factor as to why i wouldn’t repurchase. The second factor for me is the packaging for $25 you would expect better than a plastic sample tub with an inkjet label it just doesn’t sell it to me no matter if the product is all natural or not packaging plays a big factor on selling your product.
The scrub is just your typical sugar scrub, but with added castile soap to help it foam more into a body wash. In my opinion it would be better without the castile. If you’re using it as a daily scrub then it keeps skin smooth and soft, but for me i only exfoliate twice a week and i prefer something more moisturising castile kind of kills the point in having all the oils in it for me and i still needed a body lotion afterwords.
I would only rate this a 6.5/10 i think the brand needs to think more about the price point and packaging of the items it’s just not selling it for me.
Hello, I’m back with a new flapjack flavour for you all to try! This is my first attempt at doing a chocolatey kind of flapjack and it is so incredibly moreish that they don’t stay around for long! This is the original recipe I added in orange zest and juice :)
Once again i manage to forget pictures and this one isn’t great :(
175g Unsalted butter
1.5 tbsp Golden syrup
175g Light soft brown sugar
225g Rolled or porridge oats
4 tbsps Cocoa powder
Zest of 1 large orange
Juice of 1 large orange
Melt the butter, syrup and sugars in the saucepan. Do not allow them to bubble.
Take the pan off the heat and add in the orange juice.
Mix in the oats, cocoa and orange zest and spoon mixture into a baking tray lined with parchment and bake for 15-20 minutes. The flapjack needs to cook to the centre but you don’t want them to bubble, otherwise they will be too toffee-like. They should stay moist.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool for about 20 minutes before slicing up. Leave to cool completely before removing from the tray. Then Enjoy!
